I really want to like this game because of the roster and depth, but the animations and physics are outdated. I feel like they need to add more “in between” animations to help with the jerky movement and transition to shots. Also having more shot animation variety would be a huge upgrade.

TopSpin is by no means perfect, but the animations and physics are much smoother, which to me is Theo only thing holding this game back from being better.

Edit: my other issue from watching your videos is that there isn’t really “setting up” shots by the CPU AI. They seem to just try to hit to the open spot on the court every time so it ends up being just running back and forth. TS4 had that same problem but TS5 seems to have fixed that where both the human and CPU player can be rewarded for setting up shots.

I guess I’d have to play it to get a feel and see if that is actually the case, but I just noticed it in all videos I’ve seen.

A new patch comes today, it's small but damned, the gameplay is so so much better now, and the CPU too.
No more useless sliding, the CPU goes to the net, made only 5 unforced error by set on Expert.
I lost my 3 matches today, I love that.
Career mode needs to be fixed now!

Word on the streets.....always like saying that........the latest update did improve CPU AI, player movements, and volleys. I haven't heard anything yet about Career Mode improvements. Moving in the right direction for me.

I agree, I just got the game today and I already like it better than Top Spin. Tiebreak has faults but it feels like im playing actual tennis not a game.

After a mounth a patch, the game is now very nice. Not perfect but the gameplay is far better. Volley are now great, CPU on expert made less unforced errors.
