We've had quite a good run of demos here lately. I've pre-ordered Tiger and SC after playing the demos and love the way FIFA now feels, so it's a buy as well. I didn't even have a thought of purchasing Lost Planet till I played the demo, but now can't wait for it.

I loved that demo. I may not buy the game but thought the demo was fantastic
And dave, this is why it is great to have demos. The thought of trying out the game before it comes out and see if you like it or not, at no extra cost, is great.Comment

I have had the demo for about 15-20 min now...and every time I go to join a session i get booted, the host ends the session, or it just sites on the "Joining a session, please wait..." screen forever...not much fun so far...Comment

Splinter Cell has promise, but I am going to wait for the Single Player demo before I decide I'll purchase it or not.NCAA Vets League: Arkansas Razorbacks (9-2, 6-1)

I have to agree with him, you've hated just about every 360 game I ever remember released.
Splinter Cell is a different online type of game. You have to be open to playing it differently than the norm.Comment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade Discussion Part II
Once I got the controls down it was great playing as a spy or merc. At first I felt like I was just runnig around while playing as a spy but once you get the controls you really get the feeling of a true cat and mouse game. Using the enviorment to hide as a guard walks right by you then coming up behind them and breaking thier neck. WOW
Even better feeling... I was playing this morning and was doing a pretty good job of getting the info with out them knowing my position. Well my teammate not knowing where I was either walks right by and then breaks a glass giving away both of our positions. Instead of him waiting it out in the shadows he decides to run across the door way drwaing even more attention in our direction and the Merc (Human player) starts firing at the door way cutting off any chance of a escape for me. So I decide to be patient... I see the Mercs flashlight agianst the wall getting bigger (the lighting in this game is amazing) I time him walking into the door way as soon as he steps in the door I throw smoke grenade directly at our feet and I walk right past him he had know clue what direction I went ... I almost went ape sh!t and forgot to deliver the info back to the base (which wasnt easy as there was someone waiting right before you get back to the gates. This game is different from even duck and cover shoooters in that its even cooler if you never get seen at all. I felt like the Night Fox on Oceans 12.Comment

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade Discussion Part II
Yeah 360 games I have hated. It's a dud of a console so far. Just rehashed crap with barely anything more than a few extra polys here and there with the hi-res switch flicked on.
I'm in my 30's now and have had just about every console and handheld ever released and the 360 does nothing much for me. I bought a couple games and enjoyed them but they aren't great or anything.
I have high expectations. Guys at this forum have to get over it. A negative opinion has as much right to be posted as a positive one.Comment

But how jaded can you be about video gaming. Looking back from where we were just 10 years ago compared to now is amazing. You know one biggest enhancements of next gen gaming? Animations more fluid life like animations... sure the games will be prettier but its the way they move that will trick people into thinking its life like. Games will look like the cut scenes we were used to on current gen but the draw back is more automated animations and less user input because users will not be able to replicate those movements that make the game look so good in motion. So if you cant see how games are enhanced over what we played 2 years ago then you are blinded by ur own hateComment

From a 40 year old who's seen it all.
IMO the 360 is a great system so far. Not even close to being a "dud" IMO.
Oblivion, COD2,GRAW etc.. are all great games. You can make the old and tired argument about "rehashed games" for every console.
Gran Turismo, Metal Gear, Mario, Zelda,etc..
Anyways I've been VERY happy with the 360 especially the online gaming and meeting some great guys to play with. Haters will be haters no matter what is released. I'll get a PS3 when they bring the price to a reasonable amount as well as the Wii.
All I need left is my game room to be finished... Hopefully by Thanksgiving.Last edited by Skyboxer; 10-15-2006, 10:04 AM.Joshua:

Splinter Cell just became a must buy with its multiplayer.
