I'll be getting SMB2 tonight, just waiting on SMB3 and Paper Mario and they will have covered most of the Mario bases I'm interested in. I guess there is Yoshii's Island too.
Yeah, same. Mario is by far my favorite franchise, so to have them all on the Wii to play at any moment, is awesome. I have SMB3 on the GBA, but I'd rather have it on the Wii.

I remember buying SMB2 for the NES so long ago. I was so weirded out by the Luigi jumps. It was such a cool game.

Did anybody have difficulty connecting their Wii to the internet? I finally got back into town and was excited to DL Punch Out. So I turn it on and it can see my access point but when I try to connect it wont.

I have a Netgear Router and I DLed the new firmware. I Did a few other things on the Nintendo Troubleshooting and still nothing. Am I missing something? My PS3 and 360 have no problem connecting/

Try changing the channel on the router to 1 or 11.

This will be my third 5000 point pack, IIRC.

I posted a list a while back, about six NES, seven or so SNES, three Genesis, and three N64...something like that.

                          Today's Games

Mach Rider (NES, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): It's the year 2112. Earth has been invaded by the forces of evil. Battle the invaders as you race from sector to sector on your motorcycle, searching for survivors. Feel the incredible sense of speed as you zip past evil Quadrunners and zigzag between treacherous rocks, oil spills and other obstacles on the course. For a different challenge, create your own course in Design Mode, using the various twists, turns and straightaways the game has to offer. Remember, you are Earth's only hope—you are Mach Rider.

Yoshi (NES, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): Yoshi is an action/puzzle game starring Mario's dinosaur buddy, Yoshi™, who has been imprisoned in an egg. Now it's raining Goombas, Bloopers and Boo Buddies, and you have to help Mario™ stop the airborne invasion. As the critters fall, catch them on trays. Stack two of a kind and they both disappear, or capture the whole bunch in between eggshells. When the eggshells match, out hatches Yoshi and up goes your score. The action heats up as the characters fall faster and faster. To save the day, switch and shuffle, and don't let your piles get too high.

Air "Zonk" (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone - Mild Cartoon Violence, 600 Wii Points): Air "Zonk" is a spin-off of the popular Bonk's Adventure series. This side-scrolling shooter retains the same cartoonish style of Bonk but is set in a cyberpunk future. The powered-up "Zonk" gathers his friends to form Team Cool, and they set out to stop King Drool's plan to conquer the world. Choose from three levels of difficulty and three Friend Modes. Shoot King Drool's cyber-robots and avoid their attacks while collecting the Air Bones to unleash a variety of unique attacks. Combine with a friend to create an invincible hybrid form or blast enemies with a charged attack. Air "Zonk" is filled with humor, made evident by the wacky theme song that plays when you post a huge score or when your game is over.

I've only downloaded SMB thus far, but you are right - there are dozens of incredible / nostalgic games available. I think I could blow a lot of money if I lost my self control and started downloading my favorite games of the past (or, alternatively, games that bring back great memories).

I'm waiting for RC Pro Am and Bionic Commando - both EXCELLENT NES games.

The two you mention would be automatic purchases, and yeah, some of it is "oooh, I remember this game...MUST DOWNLOAD NOW!"!

Granted, after dropping the five/eight/ten bucks and playing it, it's "uh, this was cool when I was ten...now, not so much"

I was browsing the shop channel this past weekend, and I must have seen at least 15 titles that I wanted to download. Most came from the late NES / Genesis days when I was about 11-15 yo.
And then you have the ones that you just happened to miss back in the day, like Act Raiser, Bonk, and Toejam.

My rule of thumb is that I will only download a game if I know that some one else will also be interested in playing it. That has kept me contained thus far!
