I'm pretty sure that they are going to do something about the storage problem soon, like allow saves directly to the SD card. I have a 2 GB one, and it's more than enough to hold plenty of game saves, VC titles, and Wii Ware titles when coupled with the 500 MB internal memory.

I'd prefer this solution than to a hard disk add-on . . . the Wii just isn't one of those consoles where you need several gigabytes of storage.

Nintendo doesn't play. I sent my Wii back last Thursday as the video card was going out. I got an email that they received it Monday and then another email this morning that they are shipping a new one today!

Same thing happened with my second Wii, the graphics card croaked. I think it was WiiConnect24 as I mentioned before. That is good they are sending you a new one.

Hey, guys. Just picked up a Wii this weekend and the whole family is having a blast. I was worried that my 4 year old would have trouble picking it up, but she surprised me.

Anyway, I was curious about a couple of things regarding online. Is there a Wii channel that allows you to download demos for Wii games? Also, I haven't bought any additional games right now, but is it easy to play other people online? I also have a 360 and was curious if the online games work similar.

They have DS demos on the Wiiware channels, but no Wii demos. Not sure if there are plans for that or not. Online with the Wii is extremely easy. As long as your router is set up, you just input a couple settings and you're good to go. The games that support it are seamless. I found the Wii online setup to be easier than the 360 (when I had one).

You can use gamecube controllers, not N64 controllers. I have two Wavebirds which are the wireless Gamecube controllers. They are nice but hard to find. But the normal wired Gamecube ones work great too. I also have the Wii Classic Controller which is a SNES style controller that plugs into the wiimote. It is only needed if you plan on playing a lot of Virtual Console games, but the Gamecube controller can be used for those too.

You can use them for most of the virtual console games. Only some Wii games support those, like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.

Now I see why the Wii sells so damn well.

I was at my GF's parent's house today for lunch. Her mom comes home from Target with a Wii. At first I thought it was a present for someone because they aren't gamers at all. At all. But they're like we saw it at a friend's house and it's really interesting. Her mom is also like plus it has the Wii Fit.
