Wii : problems connecting laptop after hooking up wii

Ever since I hooked up my Wii, my laptop is having problems acquiring an IP address. It will eventually connect, but takes multiple tries. Never had this problem until I connected the Wii. Coincidence ???

My laptop is fine, but my desktop computer that is wired to my router doesn't want to connect anymore.

That's crazy stuff. I have two laptops and both are still working. I'd call Nintendo and see if others are having the same problem or check their support forum on their website.

I've been having a tiny "problem" with my desktop since I got my Wii. Every time I go online I get the message telling me I cannot establish a connection, and asking me if I want to "work offline" or "try again". I just select "try again" and i'm fine... so it's just more of a minor annoyance then anything.

Sounds like your having much bigger problems though... did you try changing your wireless router channel? The online store used to run REALLY slow until I read a tip on Nintendo's website to change my router channel (to 6 or 11 if I remember). If all else fails I would just give Nintendo a call... their customer service is usually top notch.

I will have to double check my router channel. I can connect, it just takes several times to connect my laptop to the internet.
