Debating trading 360 in for PS3.
I went to my local EB today and of course they have plenty of PS3 in stock now that Christmas is over, and I began to ask some questions. I think I could get really close to a PS3 60gig if I traded all my 360 stuff in and get the extra 10% on accessories with the EB/Gamestop card. Should I do it? I cant afford both systems, I really enjoy the 360 but affraid it will break again. I mainly play sports games, a lot of Madden and some NBA2K7, I have GoW which is great, but I think Resistance looks pretty cool too. I was just wondering some of your guys thoughts. Thanks

I wouldn't, but that's me. I like Gears more than Resistance. Don't get me wrong, Resistance is great, but Rainbow and Gears bringing the cover system to shooters have changed the way I play them. I also like Xbox Live over PSN so far. But the PS3 is early in it's life, PSN will get better. If you can afford both, do it, but I don't think I'd get rid of my 360 for a PS3 at this point. -

I'm in the same boat right now. I say go for it, if it isn't gonna cost you a ton.Comment

Re: Debating trading 360 in for PS3.
The only other draw back is that I have already purchased about 4 HD-DVD's. I do believe the HD-DVD format will win over Blu-Ray, only because it is cheaper to produces and that is what companies like. If I did do it and found that the 360 is better, the PS3 is $599, that would go along way to another 360. The thing is if the 360 was more stable this wouldn't even be an issue, I want something that wont freeze on me, that wont overheat and die.

Re: Debating trading 360 in for PS3.
I palyed Resistance, it's like Medal of Honor with aliens...I thought the aliens were ripped off the Midway game that was surrounded around a "Dr.Love" type of figure and in jail...what was it called again?
The game was difficult even on Normal, and the weapons were kinda nice. Not really a system seller like GOW was for X360. I personally would trade my xbox for ps3 if I had the chance. Ps3 offers compatibility with the PSP, SD cards, etc..Comment

I really wouldn't trade in my 360 for a PS3, but again I have been enjoying the darn thing + its been working fine for the most part ***Knock on Wood***. I think both GOW and Resistance are excellent games, but GOW wins over Resis for me.I went to my local EB today and of course they have plenty of PS3 in stock now that Christmas is over, and I began to ask some questions. Just get it man. Seems like a lot of people want a PS3 and are using their 360 issues as an excuse to get on despite it being the best system, right now. I ain't gonna lie, I'm getting a PS3 as soon as there is a game worth getting it for. The Show may be that game so I forsee getting on around March."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

There's no way I would trade in my 360 for a PS3, especially right now.Comment

Re: Debating trading 360 in for PS3.
I am not saying I dont like the 360, if I could have both systems I would. The ONLY reason I am thinking of doing this is strickly for a system that I dont have to worry about breaking down all the time. The 360 is great, but the PS3 has very good potential and is a lot more stable from what I am hearing. By the way I am on my second 360 in 1 year.

SoMiss, I was about to make that comment. I have a bad feeling that some of these dead 360's that are turning up are a way for peeps to get a PS3 and I hate saying that.Just get it man. Re: Debating trading 360 in for PS3.
I don't see how anyone can come up with a legit reason to trade the 360 in for a PS3, at least for the moment. The 360 has more games, better games and the multi-platform games are 9/10 times better on the 360.
Maybe in some time, this would make sense. Right now, I think it is foolish as anything you want on the PS3 you can get on the 360 and anything you can't, there's a better alternative on the 360.Comment
