Who else here owns a PSP and what games do you recommend? I'm thinking once I get through with the games that I currently am working on (the two PSP games, as well as Yoshi's Island 2 and Final Fantasy III for the DS) I'll set my sites on Tekken. I haven't played a Tekken game in awhile and I've heard excellent things about the PSP version. Also, MLB 07 is a must and a big reason why I bought a PSP so I could get some portable baseball action going.

The PSP Thread
I just got a PSP within the last week. It's one of those things I've been putting off for awhile because of cost and lifestyle. Now that I'm working in the city and riding around on public transportation, I actually have a use for portable systems. I have and still love my DS but the opportunity arose to get a PSP for fairly cheap so I jumped on it. When it came out initially I had to keep myself from getting suckered into buying it as the system just looks like something I want to own. Plus it launched with Twisted Metal and I'm a Twisted Metal junkie. I picked up that game and Syphon Filter. I haven't played a Syphon Filter since the PSX days but I enjoyed them then so I expect big things. I haven't tried it yet though because I'm addictied to Twisted Metal, just a perfect on the go kind of game.

Mlb 07 is a must for me also! Have 06 and loved it. I don't think too many will disagree here but the GTA games are good also. I like em'. The only other game I have is Madden 07 and it's pretty solid except for the audible glitch. Congratulations on your purchase and enjoy! -

I've had a PSP since launch and the main reason is that I'm more of a "Sports Gamer". L love the DS and the variety of games, but the PSP caters to the PS2 crowd, and my love for sports games made my PSP definitely worth buying.
MLB, WE, NHL, LIVE, NCAA are some of the selections available for purchase, and if you like those, then the PSP is a must.Comment

If you like racing games than you can't go wrong with Ridge Racer, Race Driver 2006 and Burnout. All look great on the system and the controls work well and you can get them all pretty cheap right now. I'm a big sports gamer but I find myself playing the racing games most often as they just seem best suited for portable game playing, especially on the go.
Tekken is amazing on the PSP and the load times are minimal. Virtua tennis is another one that translates well to the PSP and Virtua Tennis 3 is coming out next month as well.
Unfortunately if you like wrestling games, whatever you do avoid Smackdown vs Raw. The loading times are abysmal, and althougth the game plays well on the system, waiting for the screens to change takes out whatever enjoyment you get from the game not to mention it just kills your battery.
The Show is the game everybody is waiting for as I find hockey, Bball and soccer too difficult to play on the small screen. Baseball seems best suited for it.Comment

You can download PS1games from the PS Store to your PS3 then transfer them to your PSP. You can also also download music, videos, photos from your PS3 to your PSP.
In the future via remote play you'll be able to access your PS3 from any hotspot and buy and download music, videos, photos, games etc from your PS3 to your PSP. I've also read not i'm not sure that you'll also will be able to link your PSP and PS3 to play games simultaneously.Comment

BB said he was able to DJ at a party using his PSP as a remote player and he was able to control his PS3. You might want to ask him about that if it sounds interesting to you.Comment

EG, I haven't opened it. I had Merchandise Credit, that could only be used at one store. The store is going out of business on 1/31 (just found that out yesterday), so I went ahead and bought it, thinking I could get some cash out of it. If it had some nicely integrated features, I would have possibly kept it, but right now, I see no point in it at all. I really wanted to pick up a DS Lite, but they didn't have any of them in stock.
