    PS3/360 Controllers

Just wondering, what do you all think the odds are, that someone (MadCatz, etc) will come out with a controller for the PS3 that resembles the 360's setup? The thing that bothers me about the PS3 controller is the D-Pad/Left Analog placement. If they were switched around, I'd find the controller to be much better than what it currently is. Were there any controllers for the PS2 that resembled the S-Controller for the XBox?

If anything, it would probably be the other way around. They had the adapter that allowed you to use the PS2 controller on the xbox, but there were some issues with button mapping and slight lag.

I really hope someone does something that will make it compatible. I love the 360's controller, but NBA 2k7 looks and plays REALLY well on the PS3. It's just hard for someone like myself who calls a lot of plays to use the D-Pad on the PS3 controller.

Also, the PS3 uses bluetooth, while the 360 uses IR, so that could make it difficult as well to make any sort of adapter. It's definitely possible that MadCatz could come out with a 360 style controller though. Half the reason they came out with the PS2 to Xbox adapter was because of the idiotic controller that the first Xbox launched with, once they came out with the type S controller, I think people were pretty satisfied with it.

Personally, I like the PS3 controller better overall, but I see what you're saying about the placement of the d-pad and analog stick for some games.
