For so many reasons, do yourself a favor, and get a Pro.

          1. Wireless Controller
          2. HARD DRIVE (Games are big files and you will spend alot in mem cards)
          3. Core only comes with standard cable hookups(So if you have HD or want HD in the future you will have to buy HD cables.

Look if you buy the core and piece it together you will end up paying more then the premium in the long run....

            Re: core or pro

There's really no comparison - the Premium system is a much better value and the value of the hard drive can't be overstated.

IMHO, I think Microsoft erred by ever making a "Core" or a "Premium" to begin with - they should have made an "Xbox 360", and that's it.

the core is for d-bags who want to half step into next gen gaming. Get a pro, play it on your HDTV, and buy the $60 games.

Agreed, the HDD is $100 alone. Plus you get the head set, wireless controller and HD cables. No point in really getting the core unless you really can't afford the extra $100.

                  1. Wireless controllers, couldn't see myself going back to wired..ever!

                  2. 20 GB Hard drive, beats paying the $30-$40 for a little memory card to keep up with.

                  3. Component cables, this isn't a big deal, unless you don't own a HDTV.

As listed before, thats the 3 main reasons. I don't know for sure if you're wanting to play online, etc, but if you do I believe it's a must to have the hard drive for XBL to work.

Look at it this way, for $100 more, you get the wireless controller which retails for $39-$49 depending on where you get it. The 20 GB Hard Drive retails for $99, and the component cables will run you another $39-$49 depending on where you get them. Add that up, and in my opinion, it's a steal to get the Pro/Premium Xbox 360.

                  Good luck with your choice.

PS: You're a Buccs fan, buy the CORE!!

Well I didn't want to create yet another 360 thread so I will talk in this one.. I decided I am getting the Premium system in the next few days. I was in Target this evening and looking at 360's when I said you know what, I will get one of these. I didn't have the funds at the time so I will go back. For starters They are selling the 360 for regular 399... It comes bundled with NBA 2k7. Then they have a 3 year replacment plan for 29.00. So I get some things that I needed and go to cash. Cashier says, If you open a target account, you can take 10% off your first purchase. I will definately take advantage of that. I will go ahead and open a account and save 10%, Then wait a day and go in and pay that account off and then close it. I can't wait till the weekend
