Where do you recommend purchasing a PS3?

Is one store better than another for purchasing a PS3? Not in terms of price, per se, but return policy and/or lack of hassle when there is a problem with the system?

I assume I'll need to get the extended warranty, but I thought I read posts about one store giving you a new one if you had problems as opposed to shipping it off for repair and having you wait 3-6 weeks.

Any thoughts? Walmart? target? Circuit City? Or they all have same ploicy and it does not matter?

    Thanks!

Doesn't matter, I also wouldn't bother with the extended warranty, it has a 1 year from Sony included with the price. If it's fine through one year, it'll be fine IMO. My PS3 died, but I'm one of the very few to have their system fry.

i got mine at target and paid $59 for a 3 year extended warranty. As long as they have them in stock, B&M stores will give you a new one, they won't send yours off and make you wait. That's only if you have the warranty through Sony.

I always say Best Buy...They are hassle free with their warranty programs. You are in and out in 5 minutes (if there's no line). Even if the controller craps out, you are entitled to a new system.

I know people say that it comes with a 1 year from sony. It's good and all, but I really don't feel like waiting a couple of weeks when I can have a new one the same night...Just my 2 cents.

So, if you buy from Target or Walmart they do not give you a new one if you have to return it due to some problem? They send it out for repair?

Best Buy gives you a new one? No questions asked? Wow...

I thought if Target doesn't have it, they will give you store credit and you can buy it somewhere else?

I can't speak for Target or Walmart, but yes on Best Buy. I had 3 360's crap out on me and they just had me get another one. The PS3 plan is the same thing. Their replacement plan on anything is great. I've never had a problem with Best Buy...It's actually one of my "happy places" on earth.
