    Wireless controller batteries

Im just curious how often everyone elses batterried die in the wireless 360 controllers. I had my 360 for about 2 weeks and my batteries died. Do they always die this quick?

The controllers use a lot of juice, especially with rumble on. You might want to invest in some rechargeable batteries. They'll save you some money.

Two weeks, I change batteries in my WiiMote every week and that's with rumble off.

Also people seem to forget that the wireless controller is designed to discharge the batteries even with the controller off. It's a safety feature so the batteries don't start to leak if not used for an extended period of time. The PS3 controller is the same way.

My best advice is to pick up the play and charge kit. It comes with the rechargeable battery and the cable that charges the battery while you play.

I got tired of recharging the batteries so now I just use a wired controller.

If its more than one playing, I'll use wireless.

Yeah this is what I did, bought two pairs so when one dies, you can just pop in the other one. I only have to change those about every week and a half to two weeks.

the play and charge kit will save you money in the long run. It lets you charge while you play, and the battery holds the charge for a good while.

I hate to charge batteries and all that, but I guess it's all about convenience though.

Yep. It's well worth the money. Once the controller shows it's low on batteries, just plug it into the 360 and it will start charging. You can also shutoff the 360 and the controller will continue to charge (360 will be in a low power mode and automatically shuts off when the controller is charged).

I agree! I love it. I have one wireless controller and one wired.

Buy high capacity rechargeable AA batteries and a charger from Walmart. They last longer than the MS ones. I can go about a month and a half on mine.

If you have the play and charge kit you can also just plug it into your computer thru a usb port to charge too.
