    PS2 vs PS2

Possibly a dumb question... Is there a difference in between a more recent PS2 model and an older one, such for example progressive scan being enabled in later version from what I hear?

hi. i had a 'fat' model ps2 and traded it in for a ps3. one difference i know is that the slim model has network capabilites built into the hardware...the fat model requires a network adapter to get online (~ 30-35$). using component cables, i was able to play GOW 1 and NFL 2K5 in progressive scan mode on my hdtv that supports 480p/720p/1080i...but 99% of the ps2 games max out at 480p.

get the newest model you can find. they are much more reliable.
      NFL: Tennessee Titans
      MLB: Cincinnati Reds
