    Sixaxis Durability?

How durable are the PS 3 controllers by Sony? Has anyone had to replace a controller since purchasing the system?

With heavy usage, PS 2 controllers seem to wear out pretty fast.

    Appreciate the feedback!

    Re: Sixaxis Durability?

I play mine quite a bit, had one since launch and my controller is working just fine.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

It's the same as with any controller, if your rough with them they won't last. I've owned 6 consoles since 1997 and had maybe one controller go bad on me. Microsoft IMO builds the strongest controllers, that's why I like the Microsoft keyboards and mice for the PC as well.

My PS2 controllers got extensive use and I've never had one break or even have a stuck button. I'd expect no less from the new one.

Mine seems to "crackle" alot while playing...

Sounds like it's about to split in two. I hope it doesn't break tho.
