        I'm about to pull the trigger on the 80gb PS3. However, do I have to buy an HDMI cable separate from the PS3 purchase? It's my understanding it doesnt come with an hdmi cabe is that correct?

                There is no HDMI cable that comes wiht the PS3. Just get one off Ebay or Monoprice. You can find one for less than $10.

                            Can I just restate my love for the PS3. Such a better system than the 360.

                                            Seriously though, my PS3 is practically my Media Center now. Exactly what Sony had planned.... As I get older, I find myself playing less and less games... and more and more varying types of media. (DVD's, videos, pics, etc.) If I didn't have a DVR/PVR in a Windows Media Center PC I probably wouldn't even use the 360 for media anymore. I'd just upgrade my PS3, set it to record (again, if it were possible) and forget it.

                                            To be fair, a lot of it has to do with how unhappy I am with the 360's failure rate. It's like a ticking time bomb... just waiting to fail...

                                                yep, once I get my 360 back and dump it off to someone else, I'll probably never buy one again, at least not this generation. If they still work years from now, I'll pick one up off of ebay used for like $30, like I did with my 2nd dreamcast.

                                                        To this day games are being ported over and not being cleaned up on the PS3 which is unfortunate. NCAA 08 (Basketball), NFL Tour are recent examples. Although both are EA games.
