Ebaying a 360 for the ebay challenged

With the recent price drop of the PS3, and my lack of playing my Xbox 360, I think I'm ready for a new system. The 360 has always made me very nervous, as everytime I turn on the console I get paranoid I will see the 3 red lights of doom. Although my 360 has worked awesome (never the lights and has only freezed once) I think the Ps3 is more reliable and the blue ray dvd player is worth the value.

I've never sold anything on ebay before, but I posted an ad for my 360 premium (20 GB HD, wireless controller), MLB 2K7 (I never play it), Top Spin 2, a memory card, and a VGA cable (i've been using my pc monitor as my hdtv). I made the listing price $250, which I think is very fair for a premium box, accessories and games.

But, I'm really new to the whole ebay business but I really want to unload the 360 asap. And my selling time period is 10 days. I posted the ad about 4 hours ago, and so far no hits. Will I get hit on (no pun intended) and get some interest once it gets closer to the end of the auction, and does anyone know the probability i will actually get a bid in the next 10 days?

If someone wants the link so they can analyze the probablities, just pm me. I'll be sure to post what actually happens to my 360.

You'll get more views and bids closer to the deadline because when people search for stuff the auctions that are closer to ending show up first.

I just looked and seems like most 360's are going for between 200-240.

I wouldn't guarantee it, but with those accessories I'd say there's a solid chance it will sell

As the end of the auction gets closer, there will be a lot more attention paid to your 360. Most of the bidding happens the last hour or so.

I would also list it on craigs list and alter your description on ebay with something about how you have it listed locally and if it sells locally that the auction will end at that time, point out the only way to guarantee to get it at this low price is through buy it now only, hype it up, point out how they are getting a nearly new system at a used price, site places like Gamestop for proof of how much used systems sell for, and capatalyze the word new in your listing to draw more attention to it. Ive done this before and have either sold it really quickly on ebay or sold it within a few days on craigs list.

I just added a craigslist ad, selling it for $350. I was hoping to get $300 for it in the ebay auction, so I'm just setting the price high for the time being.

Okay, one of my friends is offering me $300 for basically my 360 premium, MLB 2K7 and Top Spin 2.

            Is this decent? I'm only $230 from a PS3

That's a solid deal. Make them toss in a free dinner and you're good.
