Get an Elite if you get the 360 again, you'll be happy with it...until you get a PS3 again next March for The Show

Football just buy an Elite most of the new ones have the newer heatsinks. I also hear they run a lot quieter. I amazed you held onto the PS3 as long as you do.

I just never played the ps3 at all, I mean at all. I liked the show, but a lot of you were right, one game is not worth a system at all.

I think it all depends. If NHL07 was exclusive to the 360 I would have bought one just for that game. In fact, I did just that. I'm just lucky that there are a few other games for the 360 that I like to play too.
But basically, NHL 08 will dominate play time on my 360 until Resident Evil 5 comes out.
NHL07 still gets 75% of my gaming time. I love that game.

FootballForever, there are lots of rumours that Microsoft will reduce the price of the 360 and in Canada there's a sale right now where you'll get 4 free games if you buy a 360. Maybe that would be a good route for you to pursue?

You're really losing a lot of money financially by doing all this. $100 here and $100 there... you could be spending that money on plenty of other things.

I write this as sincerely as possible: get out of gaming. It seems like you're really through with it and you're just tired of it. You buy and sell so many systems b/c they can't hold your attention long enough. That's not good for you financially.

I think it's natural for some people to hit a point where they think they need to have every game in existence and spend tons of money... only to find out later they're just tired of gaming in general.

Hell, I've hit that point somewhat... I'd rather go out and enjoy life than stay stuck in front of a TV. But you just have to realize it or you're going to keep wasting your money away....

I really think this hobby is an "impulse" hobby all the way around. I don't know how many times I've purchased a game out of impulse because of people talking it up, just to trade it or sell it a few weeks later. Just a couple months ago, I impulsively traded my 360 in for a PS3, and while I've entertained thoughts of going back to the 360, I'm just going to stay put.

What happens is that a console or game will get dogged by the media or by those on forums such as these, that we think we need to be playing the most popular console at that particular time. Look at how incredibly the Wii was on here initially. The PS3 definitely got me with The Show, but I love that game dearly so I don't feel too bad. Now, the 360 is the premeir console because the football games play at 60fps. But, that's just now......in a few months, it could be the Wii or the PS3 again.....

great post, remember how last year people were outraged that Madden on the 360 didnt have gang tackling and the PS3 did? I hope this sudden "hate" for the PS3 isn't because of the football game framerates. That's not the console's fault, thats EA's fault.
