    360 Downloadable Content Question

I am thinking of getting the 360 but I hear people talking about downloadble content. Extra songs for guitar hero, map packs, etc. I assume all this costs money. How much are we talking. I see people talking about points.

I want to get Xbox Live which I know I must pay for, but what are these other point cards you need?

Also, you can download arcarde games on Xbox live, but at a cost for each game?

If someone could point me in the right direction, It would be much appreciated. I have to admit if If I pay $60 for a game, then have to buy more add-ons to make it enjoyable, that won't go over well with the wife.

Add on's vary in price. The GH1 songs are 500 points for 3 which is a royal ripoff.

You can buy points cards or you can add points via a credit card on XBOX live

The arcade games are available for download via XBL and vary in price from 400-1200 points. I hope I answered your questions.

What is the $ value of 1 point? I.E. 100 points for $10, etc.

Is the Xbox 360 getting to the point where they sell incomplete games and then you have to pay more for things that should have been included in the first place?

1600 points marketplace cards are sold for $20 so:

        800 points = $10
        400 points = $5
        200 points = $2.50

You can also buy points through the console in 500 point increments for $6.25.

I wouldn't say that any of the games I've bought felt incomplete and needed content added. But on games I really like to play on live I've had to buy map packs I might not have bought except for everyone picks them up and then you need them to get into most live games.
Overall it's nice to have the choice to add on if feel its worth it to maybe get a little more out of some games.

they also stack up unevenly. If you buy $20 of MS points, you'll eventually have to buy more to get into the range of most items, even though you still have points left.
