Love the increased font size. Gray boxes don't bother me, I'm a man dammit...LOL. I just see it as they probably have this a template to add your trophies and stuff right there so you can see them instead of pushing the triangle button. You will probably be able to see some stuff there, I just think this sony doing their usual prep and then add little by little or they couldn't get it to work in time so left the template.
And oh yeah MULTI AV OUT FTW! I've been waitin on that feature for a while now.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
There's one thing I'm not liking about the update so far. When you play music from your HDD you can't go to the XMB again without turning the music off. I haven't checked yet to see if this is the same case for the Internet as well, but it might be the same. Hopefully they patch that.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
I like what Sony has been doing recently, but there have been a few drop backs with MP3 playback (no more multichannel, no music resume in the XMB anymore, and still no ability to play background music in every game).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

It's beautiful. If you (not you, but you know) were having second thoughts about a PS3, this is a terrific cosmetic upgrade that might sway you over to this side.

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
I know I can do it for Rock Band 2 (in the menus), ZEN Pinball, MLB 09: The Show (for menu music, batter walkups, etc.), and I remember I could do it for the Super Stardust HD but I deleted that demo long ago. I wish more games would incorporate it, especially GTA and Skate.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
I believe you change it to 44khz?Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
If you're talking about the 48 kHz vs the 44.1/88.2/176 kHz stuff (I don't know if those are the right numbers at all), I have it set on the original option because that's how songs are originally recorded and encoded. Do you mean I have to change the settings with this new patch update?
Oh and I'm also using Type 3 playback for a cleaner sound, but I'm considering taking that off because it's probably the equivalent to DNR for video.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
