What tweaks did you all make if you keep getting disconnected from PSN? I'm having that problem.

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
I haven't run the network test yet, but I was able to successfully download the system update after it connected to my wireless at home.
Then randomly when I'm on the home screen the little box will pop up in the upper right hand corner that says you have been disconnected from PSN, then it says the same thing for Media Center, which I still can't get to work either.
I used my 360 wirelessly and never had any problems.Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
I've sort of figured out whats happening with my wireless connection. I will have my wireless laptop right in front of me, and as soon as I turn on the PS3 my laptop will lose its wireless connection with the router for about 1 minute. Then once the PS3 connects to the wireless router the laptop will connect again.
I've read on other forums and other people are having the same problem.
Anyone experienced this before, or could test it out?Comment

I had this problem too and i don't remember what the hell i did to fix it. I too, have the Linksys wireless router and just played around with the settings and eventually got it fixed."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
Okay, I figured out what was causing the connection drops on my other network devices when I turned on the PS3. Initially I thought it was the media center, which it was, because turning that off corrected the problem. However I wanted to use the Media Center feature so I dug a little deeper. Here is what I did to correct the problem if anyone else is having the same problem.
1. Set a static IP address on PS3
2. Log into router and disable UPNP
3. Disable UPNP on the PS3
4. Forward all the correct PS3 ports to the static IP address of the PS3
This took care of the problem. I think it was disabling the UPNP part that did it.Comment
