I got one from newegg at the same price.

I'll never pay $60 for it, but there's been a lot of discounts around anyways. Many stores even still have the $49.99 12 month cards in stock.

Dumb question I know, but for someone who just got their first 360 at Christmas, does XBL have a time when it updates the Marketplace or do they just put things in there at random times during the week?

Tuesdays and Thursday are good bets but content can hit on other days as well.

Demos and add on conent are usually Tuesday's and Thursday's.

Arcade game are Wednesday's.

Indie games come out all 7 days.

Now if a big release hits, it could generally hit any weekday. I've seen demos on Monday's and Friday's.

Basically, check every morning. MajorNelson's blog will have updates weekly as well.

On Wednesday, January 19th we will issue a mandatory dashboard update that (re) enables the ‘Boot to Disc’ option in the Xbox 360 dashboard. After you accept the update, you’ll be able to set the option to boot to the Xbox 360 dashboard OR directly to the game you have in the tray when you power up your console. This option can be found in the System Settings.

it was allegedly accidentally disabled with the last dashboard revision done for Kinect support. MS probably didn't mind exposing all those new customers to the dashboard and ads though.

The meat of this update appears to be the anti piracy stuff that kills pirates from playing CoD and Halo, at least for the time being.
