Gamers should expect to see more advertisements on Xbox Live in the time ahead. Microsoft announced this week that its first wave of NUads (short for "natural user-interface ads"), which rolled out during fall 2012, have been highly successful and additional investment in this space is planned.

"These results show that NUads is a real breakthrough in TV advertising, and you can expect more investment from us when it comes to this new ad format and video advertising in general," Honey said in a statement.

Microsoft's NUads launched last year featuring ads from major companies like Subway and Toyota.

Microsoft Store Xbox 360 game pre-orders net free 1600 MSP

Microsoft Store has a very decent offer going on some of 2013's biggest names. If you pre-order one of the selected Xbox 360 games, you get 1600 Microsoft Points for free. That's $20 of Xbox Live content with a $60 pre-order, and by our maths that's worth a gander.

The 10 games included in the deal are Grand Theft Auto 5, BioShock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Lost Planet 3, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Crysis 3, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, Dead Space 3, and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

The offer is valid until April 6, or when a game is released - as it's no longer a pre-order then, silly. In case you're about to break open the piggy bank, you should know there's a three-per-customer limit

Ill be quite honest, MS needs to start offering a program like PS Plus, I don't get how they haven't, I pay $60 for there service and get a great online experience but that all, I have over 40 games downloaded either free or at a discount with PS Plus. MS needs to throw us a bone with some added service soon. I mean there are is discount on some games but nothing worth making my wallet lighter. Come On MS get with it.

In that same mindset PSN needs to step up and get faster. I can download mulitple updates and install them in the time it takses PSN to do 1.

true, but with PS plus honestly there is no complaining to what they offer, If its slow or not, FREE mean FREE. The deals they give are really good.

Live won't change this gen, and will only change next gen based on a lot of things like how well each console is selling. With tens of millions of paid subscribers they have little reason to change anything up significantly.

Free until you drop Plus. Just wait a 3-4 months and buy the game for 17.99 or less used..
Not saying it's not cool to get "Free" as free is nice especially if you plan to keep PLUS forever.

They can't take back what you download. Dude there are more games they sell that the not in stores and games they just release for Plus. Sorry man, but Now you're making it sound like Plus is just a discount for used games, that's not even close to what they offer or even the case.

He's referring to the free games that are the hook for people to buy PSN+ which no longer work if your subscription expires, not the discounts which are nice obviously.

Or they could both follow the PC model of everyone getting in on sales and free games without having to pay anything extra. Just an idea.
