HDMI Splitter?
Does anybody with an 360 Elite and a PS3 use an HDMI splitter? I about to pull the trigger on a PS3 and I was thinking of using an HDMI splitter to play the Elite and PS3 on the same monitor. If you have one, which one do you have? Can you recommend any others?

Re: HDMI Splitter?
I thought HDMI splitters were intended split the output signal. Maybe some are different than others?
I got the $19 manual HDMI switch box from monoprice. Works great but is limited to 1080i, there’s on with a remote and 1080p support for $33

Re: HDMI Splitter?
Extreme, since you have had one since last year or early this year...........wouldn't you recommend getting a powered HDMI splitter? I remember with the component switch boxes having a powered switch box was the way to go since the non-powered boxes didn't transfer the colors properly.Comment

Yes, I would recommend a powered one no question.Extreme, since you have had one since last year or early this year...........wouldn't you recommend getting a powered HDMI splitter? HDMI is all digital, it's all or nothing, so either you get the picture/sound, or you won't. I used a Belkin powered HDMI 3X1 switcher for over a year.Comment

Re: HDMI Splitter?
Yeah, because it'll help the signal. Using a non powered switch is essentially the same as using a switch instead of a router. The signal will be split evenly using a switch, using the router, every PC gets the same signal.
Using the non-powered HDMI switch, you'll get a even split on the signal. Using the powered, every input will get the same feed, with no signal loss.Comment
