I NEED HELP BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone......


i just bought a x-box 360, i upgraded from my ps2, i was leaning to get a ps3, but the people at eb games said the x-box 360 was the way to go....my problem is this.....i love this place and always download my rosters here...but with my ps2 and sharkport, i could download rosters even with a dial-up computer. but now with the x-box as i'm told i can't download rosters with a dial-up. i know i need to upgrade my cpu. but is there anyway around this? i would really appreciate everyone's thought on the matter......thanks

dammmmmmm i know....i keep hereing that. that was my first thought buy the ps3, but the people at eb including the mgr were x-box owners and said it was the way to go.....

I don't mean to be a jerk, but if you can't think for yourself and do your own research prior to such a major purchase, then you are deserving of this kind of problem. And jeez, for the love of all that is good in the world, NEVER ASK AN EB, GAMESTOP, OR BEST BUY EMPLOYEE FOR BUYING ADVICE!!!!!!

Always go with what you intended to buy before you stepped foot in a store like Game Stop or Circuit City.

Um, can't you download saves and use the Action Replay to get them on a mem card, even if you have dial up? I don't think you can do Live with dialup, but he should still be able to use the Datel memory card thing as long as he can download to his PC somehow.

your not being a jerk at all..........i understand where you are coming from.......i should have stuck with my 1st thought (ps3) and your right, i wont do that again.......if i can't get rosters, i'save my pennies and try again......thanks for the input....

forgive me i just got this today....so i'm very new...i was a ps2 user......what is action reply? and memory card? i see the slots in the system for them but doesnt this thing have all this memory?

While I agree that you should have gone with the PS3, the 360 is a very good system while it is working. Dont regret the purchase and enjoy the system.
p.s. If you cant hook up to Xbox live(even MORE reason to go with PS3) then to get the rosters will take some work, sorry.

I own both and the 360 is the best console to have if you can only have one. You need a "action replay" for rosters etc. Just download the rosters of the internet and put them on your memory card and you are good to go.

I don't have a link, but there's stuff you can buy that either lets you get game saves/rosters from the PC to either the Xbox or a memory card. Yeah, the 360 has a huge hard drive, but you can't swap rosters with people in the game, you know? You have to download over PC and get it to the 360 or PS3.

I don't know how PS3 people get rosters on there, but I grab them from online, put them on a memory card, and put them onto the hard drive that way.

I think there's one that just hooks to the 360 HD too...i dunno...might want to check the various roster forums, I forget the exact stuff (I got mine a long time ago)...Don't want you running to get a mem card when you don't need one.

There's a link to the Datel XChange thread...I think there's a Datel Transfer kit out there too that doesn't use a memory card, but I'm really not the authority on this stuff. I've used my transfer kit like 5 times for NCAA rosters. Maybe post in that thread or something? I dunno, just don't want you going off of my advice alone, because things may have changed a bit for all I know.
