Ps3?

I'm about to get a ps3, my question is backwards compatiblity, if i find a 60,or 80 gb and put a ps2 game in it would it still look and play as if i have inserted a ps3 game in it?

It will look better. But it's not supposed to look and play as if u put a ps3 game in it because it is a ps2 game. U should get a ps3 though it is a great system.

I can only vouch for the 60gb. But when you put in a PS3 game u will get a icon representing the game you inserted. When you put in a PS2 disc the icon says PS2 Compatible. The PS2 games I have played on PS3 have looked and played just like they did on PS2. You also have to create a "virtual" PS2 save card on the hard drive so you can save your games. There is also some PS2 compatible thing to download from the store.

80gb software emu at the present 86% of PS2 games and growing with each firmware update.
60gb hardware 99.9999% bc

If you could locate a 60gig, the full BC is nice, BUT if you can't easily find one you won't be hitting yourself over the head having just an 80gig.

it's a really nice machine that's finally starting to pick up it's stride.

I'm probably going to pick up a PS3 sometime soon (hopefully next week after X-Mas), I'm just wondering what sports title would you recommend I pick up? I'm plan on getting MLB 2008: The Show when it comes out, but I want a game or two to hold me over until then.

MLB 07: the show. At best buy All pro football is only 10$ I dont know how long that deal is going right now.

For a sports title... maybe The Show 07 or Fight Night Round 3.

But for something that isn't a sports title, definitely pick up Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Its the best game, imo, on the PS3 right now.

I agree. If you had to purchase one game (nonsports title) right now, get Uncharted. It's a fantastic game.

Yea..I'm thinking bout picking up Uncharted as well...

...my friend rented it and he said the game is massive long!!!

...I love shooters that aren't over in a flash! (i.e., Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)
