360 / HDMI...

Well, i thought i was in heaven. I found an 360 Elite with the Falcon chip and today i went to hook it up. I of course plugged the power supply and then i'm using the HDMI from console directly to our HD tv with HDMI port. When i turn on my 360, i keep getting a flashing screen. I can't set up my 360 because of this. Would someone help me with this? I bought Best Buys 2 year warranty.

you do have the TV select on HDMI?...mine has HDMI...component1,component 2,s-video...and so on,I have to select HDMI for mine to work...also HDMI is the only cable hooked to back of your 360? its all you need nothing else...

if that does not work..try your component cables ..and see what happens,also have you HAd anything else on that TV with HDMI?

I don't know what you mean. Yes, i only have the HDMI cable going from the console to tv. On my tv remote, i hit my input button and cycle through the video channels until it finds the video(HDMI), of which mine is on video 6. What do you mean select hdmi?

This tv has only 1 hdmi port.

The component a/v cables work. It's now on video 4. So, Heel, what's next.

try this: while it is on video 4, hook up the hdmi cable too (go ahead and run it to your tv). Go into the video settings of the x-box and see if you can change the connection type to "HDMI". If you can, do that. AFter you do that, switch your tv to the HDMI video connection and see what happens.

Heel, i can't connect the hdmi cable into the 360 because the a/v plug is too big.

okay. Do you have another cable by chance? It could be just a bad cable. Is the cable new ?

Yea, i have a couple of Monster HD HDMI cables. I could pull one off of another tv. So i'll just retry the hdmi with different cables. I'll be back.
