    Connecting 360 Modem?

I have an Xbox 360 and my internet connection is through Suddenlink Cable, for which I have a moden that connects to my computer. I have the Nyko Online Kit with 50 feet of ethernet cable to run from my Xbox to the modem but I can't get my Xbox 360 online. The IP Address fails every time I try. Anyone know how to fix this and exactly how I should be connecting these? I've been running the ethernet cable from the back of my 360 to the back of the modem and it's not working. I do not have a router either. Thanks

If you unhook the computer and plug in the 360, try power cycling the modem after you plug in the 360.

Either by unplugging the modem...or if it has an on/off switch.
I had to do the same thing before I got my wireless router. Whenever I wanted to online,I had to disconnect the ethernet cord for the internet, and then plug the ethernet cord from my 360 into that same input.

After I then did this..I had to (in essence) restart my modem,so the 360 could be recognized.

Do I have to do something with the IP Address?

No, I think you should be fine as long as you powercycle the modem.

You need to get a router, then you can have your xbox and computer running at the same time without having to switch cables.
