PS3 Question
I am trying to play Madden then SmackDown 2008 for the PS3 but everytime I put it in, there's no picture but there is sound. I looked at the back of my TV and everything is hooked up correctly and the plug-ins on the PS3 is all in and not loose. Then after the games didn't work, I put in a normal and a Blu-ray DVD and both of them has sound and picture.

Re: PS3 Question
Hold down the power button when you start it up until you hear a second beep, it will reset your PS3 and ask to restore your video. Also, it helps sometimes if you have your PS3 hooked up to HDMI to disconnect it for about 20secs.Comment

Re: PS3 Question
This sounds exactly what used to happen to my DISH receiver and a Comcast receiver I had - both using HDMI.....In both cases removing the HDMI cable or unplugging and resetting would fix the problem. Mostly an annoyance that seems to happen with some HDMI sources.Comment

Re: PS3 Question
I've tried both things you mentioned to do except unplugged the HDMI plug-in for 20 seconds. If I do that, will it hurt the PS3 any?UL's QB Lamar Jackson, yeah that kid is good!!!Comment

Re: PS3 Question
You're right, I'm not. I did unplugged the HDMI plug-in from the back of the PS3 for 20 seconds, and that didn't work either. Is there anything else I can do/try like on the main menu? It's really wierd because like I said in my 1st post, I was playing Madden on Sat night and can't since.UL's QB Lamar Jackson, yeah that kid is good!!!Comment

Re: PS3 Question
if you have a old ps2 component cables plug those in and see if you still have the problem. I was having problems early on with my HDMI cable flickering no pic ect...I eventually found out the problem was my HDMI cable was no good, I bought another and no problems.
go to fry's pick up a cheap hdmi cable but keep the packaging in good order(I bought one for 15 bucks) I tried it and it worked. My original plan was to take them back if the same problem persist. If the problem still persist, you may need to send it in.Comment

Re: PS3 Question
2 quick questions, 1. how do I unplug the HDMI cable from my TV? I've tried and it's either don't come out or it's in there so tight. 2nd, have there been any problems with the PS3? I've heard that the 360's have been having problems (red light of doom) but haven't heard if people have had problems w/PS3.if you have a old ps2 component cables plug those in and see if you still have the problem. Re: PS3 Question
No PS3 for the most part is pretty solid. I suspect that your hdmi cable is in your tv pretty tight, may just need to get some goog leverage on it and pull from the base of the hdmi.2 quick questions, 1. how do I unplug the HDMI cable from my TV?
