i thought i saw an audio option for hdmi last night when i was setting everything up but i was in a hurry so i didn't look too closely.

HDMI carries both video and audio. But if you have a 5:1 or 7:1 setup I would make sure your receiver has a hdmi hook up first. Most do but just in case.

You don't necessarily have to answer this (I'm just asking in general), but I already use an optical cable for my PS2. Does anyone know whether optical or HDMI produces better sound for 5.1?

I dont' think there is really a difference, it's all digital.

Correct.

If you have a capable reciever though, HDMI will output HD audio like TrueHD, DTS HD, etc.

U guys act like its crime on these forums to own both a ps3 and a 360. Flip Flopping between the two. Football Forever = Flip Flopper?

Anyways i just got the 80gb bundle Msg online is okay, its not spectacular. Reminds of rainbow six vegas 1 except much bigger environment more stealth moves. Its suxs u cant configure the controller option i prefer to shoot with r2 instead r1. Probably pick up the show 08 in a week. Hopefully i actually be able to play and finish games compared to last year 07. Other than those two games i really dont see wat other games people are playin right now.

No that's not it. I think the majority of us own more than one console.

We've just seen FootballForever go back and forth between consoles for a long time now (ie: Buys 360, sells it for a PS3...2 months later sells PS3 for 360 and Wii....3 months later sells 360 for PS3.....6 months later sells all 3 and goes without a console.....1 month later buys all 3 systems again etc...). This is slightly exaggerated, but you get the point. All of us mess with him when he goes through these phases - which seems to happen quite frequently!

Yea I am a 3 system owner. 360, PS3, Gaming PC.

I break my titles up like this.

First person shooters I buy for PC, I like mouse aiming/control. COD4 example I have on PC.

Sport titles I am buying for PS3 now on. I like the free online service and I have the PS3 in my living room.

Action/other titles
Like GTAIV I have on the 360.

Then of course you have titles for certain systems. MGS -PS3, Halo - 360

That's because it's cool to be a fanboy! As has been said, it's flip floppers who get the flak, not people who own both. I own both.

College Hoops 2K8, Rainbow Six, Grand Theft Auto IV, NHL 08 for me.
