I have a question......

Ok, so I'm still in search of a PS3, but I have one question I need answered. Can you transfer files by using a USB thumb/flash drive with all versions of the PS3 (hard drive sizes)? I know all versions have USB slots (I believe -- 20 GB might not), but I'm not sure if all versions can make use of the USB slot by transferring files.

My friend says the 60 GB, 80 GB, and 160 GB versions are the only ones capable of doing so, while my other friend, who used to work at Gamestop, said all versions are able to .

This is a big deal due to the fact that custom music for entrances are important to me in MLB 09 The Show (aka the reason I'm getting a PS3), and if I can't do it with a 40 GB PS3, then I'd have to get a +60 GB one.

As long as it has a USB port (which they ALL do)...you can use the flash

Great news. If you're wrong, you're paying buying the upgrade that does support USB....

Need some help please. I just upgraded to a 250GB HD and used my iPod to back up the data on the original HD. My question is, how do I now delete the PS3 info from my iPod without deleting everything else?

i think u might be in trouble. i dont think the ps3 will be able to get ur data off the ipod.

The restore worked fine. The PS3 pulled everything off the ipod that it needed to restore. I just don't know how to get the PS3 data off my iPod now.

Can't you delete items piece by piece from the sync program on your pc?

I thought that's what I'd do, but I can't find the PS3 file on the iPod.

search around online before you decide to do that though

When I connect the iPod to the PS3 I can find the PS3 data folder on the iPod, but when I try to delete it, I get a message saying can't delete.

Did you try connecting the Ipod to your PC and deleting the info from there??

Yeah but i don't know where to find the PS3 info in itunes. If I knew where to find it, than I'd probably be able to delete from there I would think.

Try accessing it through the regular folders. Go to my computer, and then find whatever drive your ipod USB occupies. Look for it in there.

The ipod shows up as a separate drive. Has nothing to do with iTunes. Look for the drive that appears when it is attached and you'll find the PS3 items there.
