    360-computer hookup

So I moved into my dorm this winter from living at home, and wasn't able to take my 360 with me, as the tv in the dorm isn't really good, and I'd rather not have to rely on it. I've been reading some stuff an am a little confused whether this would actually work with my computer. The computer is pretty much brand new, but I get a bit confused on the sound issue. So, here are my (well what I feel relevant) specs:

Monitor: 19 inch SE198WFP Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor
Soundcard: Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeGamer (D) Sound Card
Graphics (not sure if relevant): Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 ghz

Now my monitor had cables for VGA and something else, like SVI or DVI, I am not sure, as the some of the stuff is at home, as the one that tells me what color is what is at home. Is this really possible, or will it be too expensive or just too much hassle?

You can get the Xbox 360 VGA Cable... hook it up directly to your monitor as long as it has VGA.

The cable comes with the red and white from the RGB cables, and then something that helps them get put together. If you have an audio in on your computer, you can plug that in there and feed the sound through it to your speakers.

No problem man. That's pretty much the same setup I currently have, although I have a laptop.
