OK so i got a problem with my PS3

OK so i just got a playstation 3 and my girlfriend got the simpsons and it worked just fine, I put in assassins creed when she was done and i get the playstation 3 screen like its about to play but then nothing after that, we already took assassins creed back and got a new one and have the same problem. So does anyone have any suggestions here?? just return it to best buy or what?

My brother's PS3 quit loading disc on him after a couple weeks with the system. Sony is replacing his. I'd just take it back to BB if its within the return days.
