Need ps3 help fellas

I need some advice, as I am really am not up to speed on what ps3 I need. All I will do is play games(sports primarily), and watch the blu-ray movies. I dont need to play ps2 games, or upload/download any music etc.. Ihave a 52 inch hdtv that supports 1080i for sure, uncertain about 1080p

Which console is the best value 20gb, 40gb, 60gb, 80gb for my situation?
I think on the 40gb the ps3 can connect wirelessly, is that available on the 20gb model as well?
Do I have to buy and hdmi cable seperately for high def gaming, I dont have a surround system, uncertain about the need for this?
Can I easily download sports rosters on the ps3? If so how?

Any help/thoughts appreciated

buy the 40, a HDMI cable (as cheap as you can), and enjoy. I have the 60 and I'll never fill it up. Don't buy expensive cables. A HDMI cable is a HDMI cable. I wouldn't pay more than 15 or 20 bucks for one. You can get them online for 6 bucks.
