Xbox 360 return question

Hey all. I recently won a 20gb Xbox 360 in a raffle i was a part of. It's great and all, but since i won it in a raffle, I don't have a receipt or anything. Since there is a long history with the RROD, I was wondering if I happen to be unlucky and mine breaks down, does microsoft require a receipt for return?

Also, I'm trying to return it for store credit (so i can get a PS3), but no stores will take it without a receipt. Anyone have any tips on trying to get store credit? It retails for $350 at the major retail stores.

If it happens to get the 3 rings of death you should be fine. Microsoft just asks for your serial number. As long as it shows up purchased by someone you should be fine, just as long as its not stolen. As far as trading it in for store credit im not so sure about. I would try contacting the person in charge of the raffle. See if maybe they have a receipt. If its not opened yet you might be able to take it to Wal-mart and say you got it as a gift. They might give you store credit.

If you want to return it try walmart, they might give you store credit. If that doesn't work just keep it and enjoy it.

yeah, so i tried best buy, circuit city, gamestop, wal mart... all nay without a receipt. So I'm gonna keep it. So far so good. I don't have a game yet, but i've downloaded the update to let you play divx files etc... signed up for xbox live...

probably gonna get halo 3 today, and maybe cod4.

now for some more advice... which basketball and baseball games are the best for xbox 360? i played nba2k8 on ps3 and i really liked that game. any advice?

You have no choice when it comes to baseball. You're stuck with MLB 2k8.

You should probably read the impressions thread before you buy. Excuse the bad pun but the game is hit or miss for many.

All the other sports you have some good options. But as a 360 owner you only have one option for baseball.

I'm enjoying 2K8. Granted, I don't think the MLB games is as good as 2K's basketball games, the baseball game has grown on me. This game provides probably the best experience pitching I've ever seen in a video game. The hitting, though, is tough and isn't as good as High Heat. I've had this game for months and still haven't figured out how to just make a contact hit. The directions say to pull down and then release, but nothing happens.
