I'm willing to give it a shot later, the only thing is, if something goes wrong, is sony going to own up to it was there fault. Also if it's a problem, did they pull the update?

Fish will buy you a new PS3. Or in your case, whichever "console of the week" is on your mind.

no console has been on my mind that last few weeks, mt head has been elsewhere, now I'm seeing all these update and what not.

I haven't had any problems whatsoever with the firmware. I think it's just a matter of successfully getting past the installation and if it installs correctly, you're in the clear.

Ok, I updated the FW. Worked like a charm, so far so good........ Knock on Wood. The date and clock are a nice addition.

They do have to change the battery indicator for the controller to another spot, it interferes with the clock.

I am firing up Warhawk now, going to see how things run.

No vibration.

Game was released in 07 and the DS3 didn't come till April 08.
