Console Gaming time............

I have been a hardcore gamer for over 20 years now and I don't ever want it to end, but lately I just don't have the to play all my games like I used to, I own like 15 PS3 games right now and I shouldn't, I'm really only a true die-hard sports gamer and always have been. I own MGS4, GTA4, Call of duty 4, and I must have played them about 2 hours in total since I owned them, I just don't have the time like I used to, or the urge to really play those other games like I used to, sports games and fighting game are what I really love. I have a 5 year old daughter and 2 5 year step sons (Twins), and another baby on the way, so my gaming time is always cut short, I need time to send with the wifey to because we both work all day and night time is the only time we really have, so when I wanna game I only play my sports games.

So the purpose of witting this is, I wanna know if there are others games out there like me, where sports games are the only games that you really play and have time for.

Nice triple post by the way, I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

As for the topic, I still like to play all different kinds of games. The games that I don't really enjoy anymore are the ones that I really have to pay attention to and remember a lot of detail, because I usually can only game for a short period of time, and if a game requires a lot of thought and concentration then I usually just get bored.

Yeah your right, I label my self as hardcore gamer because that how I used to be, I still consider myself a Hardcore sports gamer though. I'm selling off some of my games, I wanted to start a collection, but it's not worth it if I don't have the time.

I'm a casual gamer. I post here because I like the community and I like keeping up on the industry, but I usually end up gaming a couple times a week or so. Life's just busy, and when I do have free time I end up reading, watching tv, relaxing, hanging with friends/gf, etc. Gaming just isn't a priority like it has been in the past, but I do still enjoy it as a hobby. That being said, I have cut my purchases big time. I didn't end up getting MGS4, I'll skip Soul Calibur 4, and in general I'm not buying as much.

Also, I am enjoying NCAA (while a bit frustrating at times with the blatant issues it has), but I avoided the NCAA forum and all the hype. I don't mess with sliders, just in general I'm much more hands off. I've got a online Michigan dynasty and a offline Central Mich dynasty I'll play a couple games a week in and that's about it.

Heck even FPS don't "grab" me like they used to. Baseball, Football and off topic type games (Like Little Big Planet I can't wait for) hold my time though. The good thing is I've saved a ton of money the past year.

I haven't be gaming much @ all this year. Between finalizing my divorce (I'm fine...lol!) and a dating a new lady (see, told u I am ok!) I just haven't had the time and sometimes the desire to play most days. I am going to get rid of a console soon. Just trying to decide between the 360 (since its as reliable as a 3 legged table) and my Wii. My girl just bought her 9 year old a Wii abd during her search, I seriously considered just giving him mine as I refused to sell it to my girl. However, I'd rather get money for it from someone else. I'm probably going to sell the 360 and keep the PS3 and Wii as it gets close to the holidays. It just makes no sense to have all three @ this point. I think I'm going back to being a sports gamer

Yeah i'm sort of on the same boat as you. I bought some bigger named games for the PS3 and only played them shortly. I am not married or have any kids, but I do have school and work. Because of school and work I only seem to have the time to play games when I am hanging out with some friends. They are always playing sport games, so I just joined in.
