    FIOS/XBL network problems

    I got FIOS yesterday and no matter what the hell I do I can't get it to connect. I've read every possible thread regarding networking issues with XBL and I've done everything (I think).


    I can never get an IP address on XBL. Somehow I was able to get an IP on XBL but then it wasn't able to detect a DNS. I made a static IP, I've opened ports, DHCP, etc.......I have no idea what any of this means, but is there anyone who's familiar with FIOS/XBL that can help me out?


    I've called FIOS and XBOX and neither one could help me.

      Did you try turning your FIOS router off for bout 1 min and(depending on if you have a Wireless router on your xbox)uplugging that for a min and then turning your router back on and plugging your Wireless router back in?(assuming you have one)


      I have FIOS as well and I know whenever I have problems getting online, I turn my Xbox off and my FIOS router off for about 30 seconds minimum and then turning it back on, then I'm usually up and running after that.

              You should PM ODogg. I'm pretty sure he had a FIOS/XBL setup.

                                      Sorry guys.

                                      The WEP key that was originally given to us by the Verizon tech guy must have changed on its own, or was wrong the entire time. The day after the FIOS was installed we checked the Verizon account and there was a new WEP key. I typed in the new key and everything worked perfect.
