Wireless connection for my ps3 (is this possible?))

Whats up guys??
Here is the quick question.
Im moving next month.
I will have internet via modem on my pc.
My ps3 with be in a room about 25 feet away.
I want to avoid any router at all costs.
Is there a device I can put into my pc's usb port that will act as a wireless internet signal for my ps3??
I tried using the Nintendo Wifi connector, but that apparently isnt capatible with the ps3.

last router i had slowed down my internet connection, plus it was making the internet shut down completely from time to time.
Also- just putting something into the usb port will is a nice easy installation

A router that is set up correctly will not slow anything down, it sounds like you had something configured incorrectly.

it was set up correctly- its just that linksys products decide not to work all of a sudden.
And myself, not the smartest when it comes to IT problems, didnt know the router was the reason why the internet wouldnt work every other hour or so.

I guess I'll just get that $35 wireless router I saw at Walmart.

try to get a wireless router if you can. Also, even though the ps3 is wireless compatible, I recommend using wired if you can. It seems the wireless is a lot slower from what I read on these forums.

Netgear has a nice "fool-proof" setup program with all their new routers.

Might want to look into one of those...
