PS3 Broke

Well, lately my ps3 was lagging on madden and today I went to start it and my PS3 wont play games or any CD. I'm just wondering if someone else has had this problem. I feel madden may had something to do with this because it seems to make a PS3 work harder then other games and I play madden 2-3 hours a day. The first two minutes I play madden the fan kicks on, and if i play other games it takes at least 30 minutes to kick the fan on. It probably has nothing to do with madden but I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Sounds like the Blu-ray drive failed, give Sony a call, if you have had the PS3 less than a year, it'll be a free replacement.

Yeah, called them in they are gonna replace it with a refurbished one.

My Blu-ray took a dive also, my unit was a little over 6 months old.
Called Sony support, and had my replacement shipped to me.

It took longer to get the shipping box than it did for my replacement to get to me.

Well this just happened to me today while playing oblivion (getting rid of Oblivion now). My 360 a couple of months ago and now the P$3

Not necessarily.

They replaced the BR drive on my console.

Not only that, I got it repaired for free even though I called it in 13 months after the purchase of the system.

If the problem is with the BR drive, I wouldn't pay for the repair. It's obvious they're having problems with BR drives so they should acknowledge it and do something about it, like MS did.

Yea i just had a similar problem with my PS3 only i believe mine was caused by NBA 2K9. Talked to Sony today and waiting for the email to tell me how to ship everything. I just recently bought the PS3 back in august and before that I went through two Xbox 360's! I'm beginning to think I'm jinxed!!!!!
