A question that's probably already been asked here but that's a lot of pages to go back to so I'll ask anyway.
Since you can d/l games onto your hard drive now, what's to stop someone from renting games or borrowing them from a friend and just putting those games on your system for free??Comment

No, you have to have the disc to play the game.Comment

If you're not logged in, hit the Guide button on the controller. Go to Sign In, and the last option should be recover gamertag.
If I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure that is one way.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Xbox Experience coming 11/19 - requires 128mb of space
After further review, aside from the ability to install games to my HD and remove any chances for DDEs, I think the NXE sucks.
Why? Because every time I utilize my friends list for anything, it lags. Back in the old days, I used to be able to bounce to the friends list very quickly to invite people to games, chat, etc. Now if I want to invite someone to a game, I have to prepare myself for literally 15 seconds of delay every time I press the live button on my controller.
I like all the little frills like avatars and premium themes and such, and the party system is great, but all the lag makes the friends list almost unusable for me. I try to avoid in-game invites like the plague because I miss so much game time while I'm lagged on my friends list.
Any ideas on how to fix this crap?Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

I don't get the delay with "friends" and the new dashboard."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

It's weird the different problems that different people are having. Take Madden for example; long load times on half-time highlights, etc, when loaded to the HD. Me? I'm having NONE, and I mean NONE, of these issues... the game runs smooth as butter.
It's the same with your friends list issue... no lag for me at all.
So the question is: does it have to do with hard drive space? I have a 120gb, with about 80gb left after installing some games.
Maybe when more of that space is used up, the worse this NXE runs? Sort of like a computer?
I dunno... and I know it wasn't any help to you Sherik, but I thought it brought up an interesting topic.Comment

I guess I'll chalk it up to some of these games being developed before the NXE was a twinkle in Microsoft's eye. Hopefully once the game developers build their games to play nice with the NXE, we won't be seeing these problems anymore.Comment

I don't have any lag/delay on my friends list from in or outside the game. Very weird that some do and some don't.
On the flip side, Madden played like crap off the HDD for me.Comment

I'm experiencing the same friend's list lag that you are. I tried clearing my cache and that didn't help. Thing is that all of my games on the HDD work fine, even Madden. So I have no idea what the problem is.
