Just a heads up to those Wii owners in the greater Toronto area. The repair centre is located at 24 progress Avenue in Scarborough. It's the Kennedy Rd\401 area.
If your Wii has any problems and still under warranty and you phone the help # you actually have the option to take the Wii yourself and drive to the repair centre on Progress and they fix for you within an hour. It's that easy.
Last nite Mario Kart had a bad disc error and my kids' pissed off and the disc looked fine so I'm thinking "great it will be like the 360 and take 2 months to get it back after it's fixed". I call the 1-800 # which was very quick. I was talking to somebody within 30 seconds and they said ship it to them and you'll get it back within 15 business days. Which is still better than Microsoft and Sony but anyways I asked him where they send it to and he said they have 2 locations in Canada, Toronto and BC. I jokingly say can I bring it myself to the Toronto centre since it's closeby and he says yes.
In other words, it breaks last nite at 8:00 and this morning I drop it off at 9:00 and picked it up at 10:00, it was that quick. Talk about great customer service, in 14 hours I had it repaired.
Sony and Microsoft need to take lessons from Nintendo. Easy to contact them and if you're lucky enough to live nearby you get lightning quick repair service. With the other 2, you could live next door and they would they would still make you ship it and take 2 months.
