Not really, the PS3 outsold the 360 for 5 straight months or so till the 360 dropped in price. Plus MGS helped.

2.4 to 2.2 not a big difference. Take away your 8 Ps3's you bought and the gap is even less.

Agreed. In fact, having 2 "heathy" systems in the market is best for all. Doesn't matter which one sells most as long as both sell enough to be sustainable.

Exactly. Competition is always a good thing for consumers. I'm glad I had a viable option to turn to once I became frustrated with the 360's reliability issues.

Q3 and Q4 are going to be totally different stories compared to Q2, except for the Wii being guaranteed a ****load of sales. Either way, all three are successful and I wish I could afford all of them.

this isn't a shock, although irrelevant. 2.43 million to 2.2 million isn't a real quick way to narrow the gap. It'll take years to catch up to worldwide sales, and they'll never catch up to 360 sales in the US. But I guess it makes a sexy headline. It's like the "OMG, MS 360 is selling in Japan!" headline.

They both have pluses and minuses. The exclusives drive sales, not news about the worldwide sales.
