Need some help with Data Migration cable (xbox 360)

I was looking at picking up a 60 gig drive for the 360 and it does not come with a data migration cable.

I called xbox and they would not send me a free cable as it's only for the elite console upgrades.

I was wondering if anyone has one that I could borrow long enough to transfer and send back when finished.

I would cover shipping costs once received via pay pal.

Or if anyone knows of any other options besides using the memory card to transfer or buying a cable on ebay that would be a huge help.

I dont have an elite and they sent my cable out on Friday...

Rich I also called for the cable cause I upgraded to a 60gb & they put an order to have it shipped to me.

I was gonna say, what the hell. If I go buy a 60 gig updgrade, they better give me a transfer cable.

I will give it a shot. I never seem to have any luck with this stuff.

Never did get the cable from Xbox but here is what I did instead.

I found a 120 gig drive on ebay that includes the kit and gave 100 bucks for it.

Transferred the data from my old drive and then turned around and sold the old 20 gig and the data kit separately on ebay for a combined total of 80 bucks.

Now I ended up with a 120 gig instead of a 60 and I'm only out 20 bucks.

Glad MS gave me the runaround.......it worked out for me this time.

Seems the only consistent thing about Xbox customer service is that it's inconsistent.

If you need one, I have one. MS wouldn't give me one, so I had to buy it off ebay. PM me if you still need one. I was going to sell it on ebay, but I'd rather not deal with them.

It took 3 phone calls for me to order the cable for a 120GB drive. The first 2 times I spent several minutes on the phone confirming and reconfirming my information and then was told "the sysytem was down", they could not complete the order and could I call back.
Didn't they know the system was down before we started? Or why couldn't they just complete the order without me calling back?
On the second call the rep told me I should order the cable on line at xbox.com. I went there but that form is for upgrading to an elite console and asks for the serial number of your old and new consoles. I am only upgrading my hard drive.
Third call finally got the order put through, but the rep said it will take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive and I should call back after two weeks.
