I got a 1 month card with my "repaired" 360 (even though I don't even have gold to begin with) and activated it. I set up 3 demo downloads and 2 trials at 7 am,they were STILL downloading at 4 pm! I was also confused as to why with gold "Get demo" was still blocked out but it turned out I just had to wait 30 seconds.

I swear, in every forum and thread, I've never seen anyone complain as much as you do about everything.
Anyway, it's not XBL, as I get blazing downloads as I did on PSN.
I get a 1 gig file in about 10-15 minutes. -

Yeah...I downloaded the L4D demo and the Mirror's Edge demo back-to-back in about...half an hour tops.

I thought maybe silver had a cap,sort of like if you download stuff off a download site there'll be a capped speed especially since it seemed like most stuff goes faster on PSN the few I didn't just leave the 360 on with its power saving thing but I don't exactly sit there with a stop watch. The Silver Members get the same speeds. They don't get the new Demos right away and some of the Free Themes and Pictures are for gold members only as well.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

I know the silly demo and theme thing. I was silver untill yesterday and will be again when the card runs out. I just get all my demos on PS3 instead for multiplatform games.

If you are doing anything on your computer, that will take priority over your 360 unless your network is configured to do the opposite. If I am downloading a torrent or something, it slows down my XBL download speeds to a crawl.Comment

Or using FiOS for 30 bucks a month with legit 15Mb/s down 3Mb/s up. When speeds get up to that rate, it is usually the server that is limiting the speed, not the client's capacity.
On another note, get FiOS if it is available where you live. It is amazingly fast and reliable.Return of the MackComment
