Wireless XBL without paying 100$?
I've heard of a way being able to do this without purchasing the 100$ wireless piece. Apparently it involves a laptop and an ethernet cable from your computer to the xbox? I've searched google and found a way but apparently it only works for some people, and you can't reconnect to the internet with an ethernet cable afterwards.

Use Your Laptop As an Xbox/Xbox 360 "Wireless Adapter" on Windows XP/Vista, and Mac OSX: I hate how the Xbox 360's wireless adapter costs $100, so I looked online on how to use any adapter as one. I couldn't find an article on that, but found that you can use your laptop as a gateway, but many articles didn't work, the way they said to …"They call me the freak, cause i'm a freak of nature" - Randy Moss

Re: Wireless XBL without paying 100$?
Found this link hanging around so I decided to post it for all those who might be interested later on. It seems very sensible. I might go through the XBOX joint if it works. Makes nothing but sense to save money. How does the XBOX wifi adapter hook up by the way?

Re: Wireless XBL without paying 100$?
I bought a wireless bridge from NetGear from Buy.com for around $30 and it works great (of course this was 3 years ago). Not sure if you can still find wireless bridges.
Here's a way to do it if you have an old router that you're not using and is compatible.
