With the purchase of a 360, on the 60GB it gives you Live Silver. I have been doing research and all the research I have done says that silver doesn't let you play "ONLINE MULTIPLY PLAYER". So can you still play online, or no. I don't understand that.^

You can go online, download things, chat, stuff like that. But you need Gold to play co-op or versus online.

I still dont get it. If you can't play against people online than why are the majority of the games online. It doesn't make sense. So I can only play NBA 2K9 assosciation offline?

What is it that you don't get? You have to pay to play online against other people. It's always been like that for Xbox. Yes, you can only play NBA 2K9 Association offline even with Gold, you can play other game modes online.

I don't get the fact that they give you a LIVE membership and you can't even play online which is the point of LIVE.

Plus you get a free month of Gold when you activate your gamertag

The point of silver is so you can download items from the marketplace and ocasionally use other game features that aren't multiplayer related but that's extremely inconsistant.

wow, I'm ticked! Xbox doesn't let you do anything that PS3 does. I will probally do sports games on 360 and war games on PS3 now. That would let me play the war games online, although I might occasionally get the sports games on PS3. Well i don't quite know yet. I haven't open the box yet because I am doing research for the online part of it.

Get your sports games on PS3. You might not be able to get roster updates on 360,I couldn't for some.

ok thanks dude. That also helps. I love NCAA 09 for PS3. The graphics and gameplay are so real. I just don't know what I will do for 360.

I don't really understand the problem here. Isn't it pretty much a known fact you have to pay a fee for Xbox Live?

Silver is basically nothing, Silver means you haven't paid anything but they give you the opportunity to download demos and stuff, but you can't play online. When you pay (or upgrade to gold) then you can do everything you could with silver as well as play online.

It's not like you've gotten screwed by 360, it's a fee, it costs money, that's well-noted.

You can do every roster update on the 360.

No you can't,we're talking silver here. I couldn't get it with any EA games and only some 2K games. I know for a fact it's impossible for silver to get it with Madden because you have to get to the team select screen in an online game wich you're not getting to with silver.
