i love the 360's ability to watch the "instant watch" movies from netflix that are in your Q online and was wondering if that's an exclusive deal or if the ps3 will have a chance to get in on that action?

It's a 360 exclusive, so you won't see anything official....

that being said, there is http://www.themediamall.com/playon, I haven't tried it, but for whatever it costs it might be worth it to you...

Sony said they don't want it in some interview that was on Joystiq.com a few weeks ago.

MS has no exclusive deal with Netflix though, it's just that they approached them about it. There's a Netflix exclusive box that does it as well as several LG/Samsung Blu-ray players that do as well.

Yeah, I knew of the other boxes, I just thought it was exclusive for consoles...either way, it seems that PS3 won't get it anytime soon...

Sony's store is loaded with tons of movies and shows now. They should just do their own rental streaming service.

I'm pretty sure that was part of the reasoning that I read, that they already have their own video store.

Either way, at this point, my wife and I are both completely addicted to having Netflix on the 360, watch it almost nightly.

Yeah but so did MS and teamed with Netflix. Sony should do a monthly service though. Not sure how much they charge because Netflix you also get to rent actual discs. So maybe half the price of Netflix per month? It would be much better than paying $3 plus tax for a SD rental and $6 for a HD rental. Just isn't worth it.

Or team up with Blockbuster if they're still around. If I was Blockbuster, I would be looking into that heavily as they need it more than Sony does.
