    Live question

    Hey guys, I just picked up the 13-month Gold membership deal over at Amazon. I did a month-to-month in Dec. to have Gold for over the holidays. It said that it expired 1/9/09, yet I'm still listed as a Gold member.

    If I enter the code for the year subscription, will it cancel out my month-to-month, or do I need to call and cancel that before entering the code?

    Also, will my card get charged for this month since I'm listed as Gold even though, as stated, it was slated to expire 1/9?

    It sounds like your subscription was renewed automatically. Check your billing/account info at xbox.com.

    You don't need to cancel the service before entering the code on the live card. The time on the live card should start at the end of your current subscription.
    I did have a problem with this once where the card took immediate effect even though I had time remaining. I called xbox live and they credited my card for the time I lost.

      I checked my bank statement, and no charge for Xbox has showed up this month, so that's why I'm confused a little.
