360 sports games questions

What's going on guys? I'm kind of a n00b when it comes to gaming, plus, well, I haven't had a lot of times to play video games in the past few years. However, I finally decided to dust off my 360 and bring it into my room with my HD tv, so I kind of want to start gaming again. I'm usually just for the sports games, except for the rare expections (GTA for one). I'm just wondering:

1. For sports games do I need a transfer kit in order to get roster updates, patches, ect. ?

2. If so, where is the best place to find a good transfer kit for a reasonable price?

If you can connect to a cable modem, you can download rosters through the game itself, otherwise you will need some kind of transfer fit. Check out eBay for used prices.

FYI you only really need a transfer kit for the older games, not any of the 08/09 sports games. For those as long as you have XBOX live and an internet connection you can download the rosters within 2Kshare or EAworld depending on the game. Also transfer kit won't help you with game patches, once again you need xbox live and internet connection to get those.

I got my transfer kit a couple of years ago from ebay, rarely use it anymore because of the updated games. Just get Xbox live and use the OS forums above to find the best rosters and you'll be good to go.
