My 360 Elite Falcon has passed (In need of some advice on my future gaming route)...
RROD. Barely a year old. Played it about 10-12 hours a week. Just printed out the shipping label and mailed to the headquarters.
So the thing is this...this was my third system in a little under 2 years. My first 2 didn't last 3 months, which is why I bought the Falcon. Well since that one didn't last at least 3 years as I was hoping, I am about ready to give up on the 360 and switch to the PS3. My wife has one and I was thinking about putting all of my 360 stuff on eBay when I get the "new" console back from Microsoft.
Is this a good decision or a bad one? I am not too tech savvy and don't really notice much of a difference between the 2 systems other than the online capabilities, Ps3 seems to lag a little in the frame rate area, and the system exclusive games.
The system exclusive games isn't really a problem for me as I am pretty much a sports gamer. I also like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and some racing games.
I have never played any of the Halos, war games, or anything like that. So I feel like my gaming experience wouldn't be too drastic of a difference if I just had a PS3.
But something still tells me that I will regret the decision if I get rid of the 360. I am just sick of my systems getting the rings of death every year and feel like I wouldn't be missing out on too much if I just up and ridded myself of it.
Can anybody help me out with some pros and cons to help me make my decision? Like are the frame rates that much worse on PS3 that I won't get the same thrill out of sports games that I do on my 360? There is so much info out on both that I can't take it all in. I just need some simple answers. Thanks in advance.
