Buy 120 gig HDD or Elite?

I was wondering if I should buy the 120 gig HDD for my 360 or buy an elite....

If I knew I could sell my launch system (wireless controller, head set etc..) I would probably do it, but I am not sure if I could get anything for it.

You can get the HDD seperately and toss it on to the system.

no idea if this is nationwide but the Walmart near me had the red clearance tags on the 120gigs for 125 bucks. If that helps your decision

You can find a 120GB at amazon for $89 and get the transfer cable free from Microsoft. Then sell your 20GB for $40.
That's what I did. I bought from seller Niagaras Electronics. It looked new and worked fine.

I just bought a 120GB Hard Drive from Walmart and sold my 20GBer back to Gamestop for $20.

I'm sure you could get more for it somewhere else, but I didn't care to go through the hassle.

Bonus is if you go with the HD you get the Transfer cable that you can use to upload rosters, etc. to the HD from your computer.

You can even sell the transfer cable if you don't need it afterwards (or you can keep it to transfer roster files from the PC). They go for around $30.

Might try to sell mine today (or trade it in at Gamestop and pick up Left 4 Dead)

oh, I got the 120 yesterday, transfer everything in about an hour.

Very, very, easy.

It has a manual, but you pretty much put the transfer disk in, then plug the cord into the back of your 360 into the new 120 gb hdd, hit continue and then it transfer. After that it will tell you to turn off 360, remove old hdd and snap new one in place.

Worse thing was the time. Like I said, it took about an hour.

I purchased mine from Best Buy and the package comes with a transfer cable. I think if you get them on eBay they may not come with one...

Correct.

If you get at 120 that's in Original Retail Packaging it comes with a transfer cable.
